“Never lose hope” is Pankaj Tripathi’s message to budding actors

If there is one actor who is respected across all industries and all genres, it’s Pankaj Tripathi. The actor shot to fame after Mirzapur and has become the talk of the industry ever since. However, the journey towards this sort of massive fame wasn’t easy – it took Tripathi 14 years of hard work to reach where he is today. Tripathi has proven his mettle in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Fukrey, Masaan, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Ludo.

“It’s obvious that budding actors don’t have it easy in Bollywood unless they have connections within the industry. It’s tough to be an outsider in Bollywood, but if you hail from a village and have studied in a Hindi medium school, it’s tougher. In my 14 years of struggle, I continued to be persistent because there was one thing that I always believed in — that no matter what, it’s important to not get swayed or dissuaded and stick to the art. If you believe in the art form, it’ll surely pay off one day and I’m a testament to that. So, it’s important to remember that and never lose hope,” the actor told ETimes.
