Born Anwita Paul on February 20, 1990, in Shillong, Meghalaya, India, Patralekha was brought up in the rural north-eastern part of the country with her parents, Ajit Paul (a Chartered Accountant) and Papri Mishra Paul (a homemaker), and her two siblings, Parnalekha Mishra Paul and Agnish Paul.
