Sunny Leone has come a long way in her entertainment career over the last decade or so. Sunny has made a name for herself as a Bigg Boss contestant and a popular actor. However, there have been speed bumps and detractors along the way. A journalist once put her on the spot with an offensive and sexist line of questioning a few years ago. Sunny addressed the infamous interview and why she chose not to leave despite being insulted a few years ago.
The interview in question took place in 2016, and the interviewer seemed to constantly press Sunny to respond about her previous career as an adult film star. He posed misogynistic and regressive questions to Sunny, such as ‘how many married women believe Sunny Leone is a threat to their husbands’ and ‘how many people consider becoming a porn star.’ Sunny’s responses, on the other hand, drew praise from fans, who described her demeanour as “grace under fire.”
Sunny addressed that interview in 2018 with a leading daily. “There is a moment when he said something and I was about to get up and go, but he said, ‘No, sit down’,” she recalled. Sunny explained why she did not leave the interview, “I firmly believe in the idea that I will never let anybody get the best of me. If I had walked out of that interview, everything he said about me would have been true. It would have been the confirmation of everything he (insinuated) on that stage.”
Sunny Leone was most recently seen in the action thriller web series Anamika. On the show, the actress did her own stunts.
